چکیده

Abstract Background Cervical cancer (CC) is one of the most common and malignant tumors in women. In this study, we aim to explore role mechanism F-box leucine rich repeat protein 19 antisense RNA 1 (FBXL19-AS1), a novel long-chain non coding (lncRNA) with marked roles variety tumors, regulating proliferation metastasis CC. Methods The expression FBXL19-AS1, miR-193a-5p COL1A1 were detected by RT-PCR western blot. Gain- loss-of functional assays FBXL19-AS1 performed CC cell lines vitro or vivo. proliferation, migration, invasion, apoptosis epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT) cells determined. Results significantly up-regulated tissues, while was down-regulated. Overexpression promoted EMT growth inhibited apoptosis, knockdown had opposite effects. On other hand, cells. Mechanistically, functioned as competitive endogenous (ceRNA) miR-193a-5p, which targeted at 3’-UTR site negatively regulated expression. Conclusions promotes sponging up-regulating COL1A1.

LncRNA Miat Promotes Proliferation of Cervical Cancer Cells and Acts as an Anti-apoptotic Factor

There are a sub-population of cells in tumor tissues known as cancer stem cells (CSCs) which have similar features with stem cells, including self-renewal and differentiation capacity. Recently, it was established that not only stem cells factors such as Oct4, but also ES-associated lncRNAs are contributing to various regulatory aspects of CSCs. Myocardial infarction associated transcript (MIAT...

LncRNA AFAP1-AS1 promotes growth and metastasis of cholangiocarcinoma cells

We investigated the role of actin filament associated protein 1 antisense RNA1 (AFAP1-AS1) lncRNA in promoting cholangiocarcinoma (CCA). qRT-PCR analysis of patient samples showed that AFAP1-AS1 expression was higher in CCA tumors than matched adjacent non-tumor tissue. AFAP1-AS1 levels were also higher in CCA cell lines (HuCCT1 and TFK-1) than a normal biliary epithelium cell line (HIBEpic). A...

SNHG1 promotes cell proliferation by acting as a sponge of miR-145 in colorectal cancer

ncRNAs are important regulatory molecules and involve in many physiological cellular processes. Small nucleolar RNA host gene 1 (SNHG1) is a host to 8 snoRNAs and is located in 11q12.3 region of the chromosome. It has been reported to be involved in several cancers. However, the role of SNHG1 in the tumorigenesis of colorectal cancer is still unknown. In this study, SNHG1 was upregulated in col...

miR-424-5p promotes proliferation of gastric cancer by targeting Smad3 through TGF-β signaling pathway

MiRNAs have been reported to regulate gene expression and be associated with cancer progression. Recently, miR-424-5p was reported to play important role in a variety of tumors. However, the role and molecular mechanisms of miR-424-5p in GC (gastric cancer) remains largely unknown. In this study, we aimed to explore the role of miR-424-5p in GC. QRT-PCR was used to determine the expression leve...

Long non-coding RNA HNF1A-AS1 promotes proliferation and suppresses apoptosis of bladder cancer cells through upregulating Bcl-2

Emerging evidences have indicated that long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs) are pivotal regulators of tumor development and progression. HNF1A-AS1 (HNF1A antisense RNA 1, C12 or f27) is a novel long non-coding RNA that acts as a potential biomarker and is involved in development and progression of several cancers. Nevertheless, we know nothing about the clinical significance and molecular mechanism o...
